This chapter covers the steps to defining your theme elements: the colors, fonts, and effects that form the foundation of a template. In reality, the design process begins long before you open PowerPoint because you must make decisions about these things before you start working.Īfter you’ve gone through the steps to build a practice template and are ready to create a template for yourself or your company, we suggest that you read Chapter 10, “Designing a Template.” From color and font selections, to background styles and layout arrangements, many choices affect how the template looks and how it will work for users.
